Job summary

Versova operates a large network of egg-producing farms in the United States and seeks a Pullet Specialist I at our Moses Lake, Washington facility. The role focuses on pullet welfare, health monitoring, and efficient barn operations to support safe, high-quality egg production.

The specialist will perform vaccinations, manage daily feed and water levels, inspect environments, and collaborate with management on production records.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years general work experience
• Understanding of pullet care and ethical livestock treatment
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Ensure ethical treatment and care of pullets according to industry standards and regulations
• Perform daily mortality checks and removals from cages
• Maintain cleanliness of water and feed areas in barns
• Conduct regular barn maintenance such as sweeping, pit shoveling, and blowdowns
• Replace burnt-out light bulbs promptly
• Monitor and maintain daily feed and water levels
• Collaborate with management to review and analyze production records
• Assist with pest control initiatives
• Administer vaccinations and monitor pullet health
• Maintain pullet houses and systems
• Conduct environmental inspections and report issues
• Execute additional tasks as required for flock and facility management
• Other duties as assigned
