Job summary

Versova is seeking a Pullet Sanitation Worker to maintain cleanliness in layer and pullet barns through a strict 13-step cleaning process, including dry cleaning, power washing, whitewashing, manure pit maintenance, and fumigation. This hands-on role supports biosecurity and optimal conditions for pullet growth and layer productivity.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and working in dusty environments.
• Willingness to work in wet conditions and stand for long periods.
• Commitment to cleanliness and biosecurity standards.

Responsibilities

• Manually scrape manure and feathers from cages and beams.
• Clean walls, beams and cages using high-pressure air and hot water.
• Power wash barn structures and equipment.
• Manage manure removal and disposal.
• Perform fumigation, whitewashing, and Veracid application.
• Operate thermo foggers and backpack sprayers.
• Wear and maintain protective gear properly.
• Participate in cross-training and rotation as needed.
• Adhere to USDA, FDA regulations and GMPs.
• Follow Food Defense Program guidelines.
