The role combines strategic account management with direct sales for assigned accounts, requires market insight, collaboration across internal teams, and occasional travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required.
• 5–7 years of publishing sales experience with specialty retail preferred.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of sales strategies.
• Proven track record of reaching sales goals with negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to buyers.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team environment; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth across special sales, and distribution accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with retail buyers, distribution partners, client-service teams, and external sales reps.
• Collaborate with distribution partners' sales teams to maximize title placement.
• Conduct account reviews and analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities.
• Research market trends and competitive activity to inform strategies.
• Present titles to buyers with compelling positioning and data.
• Identify and develop custom publishing opportunities for retailers.
• Coordinate with internal teams to incorporate customer feedback into product development.
• Monitor inventory, forecasts, and production schedules to meet demand.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external partners; travel as needed.
