Job summary

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to create and typeset content for print and digital distribution. You will design artwork, develop concepts, and prepare final layouts for printers and vendors, collaborating with editors and authors to ensure accuracy and quality.

Qualified candidates have at least three years of graphic design experience, proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office, and strong typography and production knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• At least three years' experience in graphic design and typesetting for print distribution; digital distribution preferred.
• Proficiency in typography, layout design, color theory, and print production; publishing or health content background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain visual branding across publication portfolios.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely production from concept to delivery.
• Stay current on trends and best practices in graphic design and production tools.
• Propose cost-saving design and production solutions while maintaining brand standards.
• Present design concepts for review and incorporate feedback.
• Develop and maintain editorial style and formatting guidelines.
