Job summary

American Management Association (AMA) is seeking a Graphic Designer to turn briefs into engaging visual concepts across print and digital channels. You will manage projects from concept through production and final delivery, ensuring high quality and brand consistency.

You’ll translate marketing objectives into compelling visuals, collaborate with Creative Services, Marketing, and Product teams, and explore emerging design trends and AI tools to elevate the work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Communications or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience across print and digital.
  • Strong online portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, typography, layout and brand application.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
  • Experience designing multi-page publications and digital assets for ads, email, web and social media.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines with project management tools.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills, including handling feedback and creative direction.
  • Interest in emerging design technologies and AI-assisted workflows.

Job description

AMA is seeking a Graphic Designer who brings strong creative thinking, excellent design skills and a sharp eye for detail. You’ll develop concepts, design across print and digital channels and carry projects through production and final delivery.

If you’re equally comfortable brainstorming a campaign, designing a catalog, building digital assets and preparing files for production, you’ll fit right in.

Responsibilities
  • Design across channels. Create direct mail, catalogs, brochures, advertising, email, web, social media, presentations and more.
  • Turn strategy into creative. Translate briefs, marketing objectives and brand strategy into smart, engaging visual concepts.
  • Own the production process. Manage print and digital materials, including multi-page catalogs and publications, from layout through final delivery.
  • Own the details. Take projects from initial concept through design, revisions, production and final delivery.
  • Make information visual. Turn complex content, research and marketing messages into clear, compelling communications.
  • Strengthen the AMA brand. Apply AMA brand standards consistently while finding opportunities to evolve the creative.
  • Collaborate across teams. Work closely with Creative Services, Marketing, Product and other teams to develop stronger ideas and executions.
  • Balance a busy workload. Manage and track multiple projects, priorities and deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Explore what’s next. Experiment with emerging design trends, technologies and AI-assisted creative tools that can improve the work and how we create it.
  • Other related duties as needed.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Communications or a related field.3–5 years of professional graphic design experience across print and digital.Strong online portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, typography, layout, visual storytelling and brand application.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.Experience designing and producing multi-page publications, catalogs or similar materials, including print production and file preparation.Experience creating digital assets for advertising, email, web and social media.Solid design fundamentals, including typography, composition, color, visual hierarchy and information design.Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines and track projects using project management applications.Effective collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to respond effectively to creative direction and feedback.Ability to translate creative briefs and marketing objectives into effective visual solutions.Interest in emerging design technologies and AI-assisted creative workflows.Motion graphics or video experience with After Effects, Premiere or Animate is a plus.Ability to travel based on business needs.
