Job summary

Nucleus Global, an Inizio Medical company, is seeking an Account Director to lead a major scientific publications account, translating client objectives into impactful publication plans while ensuring operational and financial excellence. You will guide a Client Services team and partner with Scientific Services to deliver high-quality, compliant publication programs.

In this role you will build trusted pharmaceutical client relationships, manage budgets and forecasts, and identify opportunities

Qualifications

• Strong Client Services experience within a medical communications agency.
• Proven experience managing complex publication programs and publication planning.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted pharmaceutical client relationships and provide proactive counsel.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, profitability and reconciliation experience.
• Experience leading and developing Client Services team members and collaborating with Scientific Services.
• Strong project and operational management skills in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Strategic, commercially minded with growth mindset and client partnership focus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management and delivery of a key publications account, overseeing publication planning, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, congress deliverables and related communications.
• Build strong, trusted client relationships, serving as senior contact and providing proactive guidance.
• Partner with Scientific Services and cross-functional teams to support publication strategy and ensure compliant delivery.
• Oversee account financial performance: budgets, forecasting, profitability, reconciliation, invoicing, and targets.
• Drive operational excellence, implement best practices and improve efficiency and collaboration.
• Lead, coach and develop Client Services team members and align with account strategy.
• Support resource planning, team development and training with senior Client Services leadership.
• Identify opportunities for organic growth and contribute to proposals, RFPs/RFIs, pitches and onboarding of new work.
• Collaborate with senior account leadership on strategic planning and industry trends.
