The American Medical Association is seeking a Publications Specialist to join its publications team. This detail-oriented editor and writer will support a portfolio of medical and scientific content through copyediting, proofreading, writing, and publication coordination.

Responsibilities include translating complex clinical topics for physician audiences, coordinating with authors and sponsors, and managing multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of copyediting, proofreading, and/or communications experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AMA Style.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading, and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, basic science, or research-based content.
  • Medical, scientific, technical, academic, or research writing/editing experience preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Word skills; Wrike experience is a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and self-motivated.

Schedule:Full-Time, Hybrid — Tuesdays & Wednesdays On-Site
Pay:26–28/hour during temporary period
Conversion Salary: 66,000–68,000
