Job summary

Meet Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Medical Writer (Publications) to join its award-winning medical communications team. You will lead publication development across manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and congress content, translating complex data for healthcare professionals and collaborating closely with clients and external experts.

The role offers opportunities to mentor junior writers, ensure publication rigor, and contribute to strategic publication planning across diverse therapeutic

Qualifications

• Advanced life sciences degree or equivalent.
• Experience in medical communications with a publications focus.
• Proven ability to write manuscripts, abstracts, posters and congress content.
• Strong scientific writing, storytelling and project management skills.
• Experience collaborating with pharmaceutical or biotech clients and external experts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of publication deliverables, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and congress material.
• Translate complex scientific and clinical data into clear, accurate, and engaging content for healthcare professionals.
• Partner with clients, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and cross-functional teams to drive publication strategy and execution.
• Ensure materials are scientifically rigorous, publication-ready, and compliant with guidelines and timelines.
• Mentor junior writers and contribute to scientific excellence of the team.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the development of publication deliverables, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and congress material
• Translate complex scientific and clinical data into clear, accurate, and engaging content for healthcare professional audience
• Partner closely with clients, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and cross-functional internal teams to drive publication strategy and execution
• Ensure all materials are scientifically rigorous, publication-ready, and compliant with industry guidelines and timelines
• Mentor junior writers and contribute to the overall scientific excellence of the team

What we're looking for

• Advanced life sciences degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent preferred)
• Strong medical communications agency experience with a focus on publications
• Demonstrated expertise writing manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and congress content
• Exceptional scientific writing, storytelling, and project management skills
• Experience collaborating directly with pharmaceutical or biotech clients and external experts
