The City of Salisbury Public Works Department is hiring a Sanitation Maintenance CDL Worker in the Waste Collections division to operate collection trucks and support daily sanitation operations for the community.

Responsibilities include operating multiple waste collection vehicles, collaborating with teammates, and ensuring services for the 37,000 residents. Eligible applicants may access growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid NC Driver’s License, Class A or B CDL.
• Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
• Ability to work after normal business hours in on-call and emergency situations.

Responsabilidades

• Operate collection trucks to collect waste and debris (curbside trash, recycling, limbs, and yard waste).
• Learn to operate equipment such as side arm trash trucks, rear loading trash trucks, knuckle boom trucks, loaders, and leaf machines.
• Work with a diverse team to solve problems that range from setting up a parade to tackling litter issues.
• Serve the daily needs of Salisbury's 37,000 residents through sanitation tasks.
