Job summary

Pinellas County Public Works Department is seeking a Warehouse and Inventory Specialist (Property & Stores Clerk) to manage inventory, receiving, and storage of materials at the Clearwater facility.

The role involves inventories, cycle counts, forklift operation, and vendor coordination, with travel to county facilities as needed. Requires a high school diploma and 2 years of related experience; Florida driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in shipping, receiving, storekeeping, purchasing, or related field to include basic administrative and office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management: conduct inventories and cycle counts to maintain stock levels.
• Warehouse operations: keep a clean, safe warehouse and oversee storage of materials and equipment.
• Procurement & purchasing: support purchasing activities to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Vendor coordination: communicate with vendors regarding materials and orders.
• Operate forklifts and light equipment to assist in storage and delivery of materials.
• Receive items, store properly, and update bin locations as needed.
• Attend safety and training per guidelines.
• Coordinate property control and disposal activities.
