Job summary

The City of Buffalo Lake is seeking a Public Works/Maintenance Worker to perform a range of duties across water and wastewater systems, streets, city facilities, and parks. This position requires the ability to operate various equipment and to complete tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, possess or obtain Class C Water and Class D Wastewater Licenses, and secure a Minnesota Class B license within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain Class C Water License and Class D Wastewater License.
• Regulatory licenses must be obtained within 12 months.
• Minnesota Class B driver’s license required within 12 months.
• Experience with heavy and light equipment preferred; ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform public works operations including water and wastewater systems, street maintenance, city equipment, city buildings, parks and related work.
• Operate and maintain heavy and light equipment as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of tasks and activities.
• Complete duties as apparent or assigned by supervision.
