Job summary

Town of Weston DPW seeks a Truck Driver/Laborer for Highway, Stormwater and Parks/Cemeteries divisions. 40 hours per week, benefits, wage range $28.89 to $29.61 per hour depending on DOQ. CDL required on hire or within six months. Overtime availability for emergencies and winter operations.

Responsibilities include operating heavy/light trucks and equipment, maintenance, and installation/repair of sidewalks, curbs, and drainage systems, plus general public works tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 1 year in construction labor or related field.
• Massachusetts CDL license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Knowledge of public works construction, maintenance, and safety rules.
• Must perform heavy manual labor outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy and light trucks and associated equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on light equipment and assist mechanics.
• Repair and construct catch basins, culverts, and waterways.
• Cut and load roadside vegetation and collect leaves.
• Install and repair sidewalks, curbs, and guard rails.
• Plow, shovel, and load snow during winter operations.
