Weld County is seeking an Equipment Operator to join the Public Works team. You will operate heavy and light construction equipment to build and maintain roads and bridges across Weld County.

The role may be assigned to any division as needed, with duties including manual labor and site tasks. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, two years of equipment operation experience, and a valid Colorado CDL (Class A with tanker endorsement preferred).

Qualifikationen

• Two years’ experience as an equipment operator.
• Valid Colorado Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement required or ability to obtain license within specified time frame agreed upon hire.
• MSHA certification is required or able to obtain.

• Operate heavy equipment, machinery, trucks, and tools for road maintenance and repair.
• Follow safety procedures and instructions to complete tasks efficiently.
• Communicate effectively via radio and interact with the public in a courteous manner.
• Assist with snow and other inclement weather operations and respond to emergency events.
