Job summary

City of Lynwood is seeking a versatile Maintenance Worker to support the Public Works Department in maintaining City streets, parks, and facilities. Under general supervision, you will perform semi-skilled manual tasks, operate light vehicles and tools, and assist with safety and traffic control.

This part-time/at-will position offers opportunities to contribute to street repairs, park upkeep, graffiti removal, painting, and general cleanup, with emphasis on multi-tasking and reliability.

Qualifications

• One year of prior experience performing heavy laboring tasks.
• Possession of an appropriate California driver's license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and beautify city streets, parks, landscaped areas, and facilities.
• Operate tools and light/medium equipment, load and unload materials, and assist with street and park maintenance.
• Support safety practices, perform graffiti removal and general cleaning, and assist in special events and projects.
