Job summary

The City of Spring Hill seeks a Maintenance Worker 2 to perform skilled construction and maintenance tasks in the Public Works Department. You will operate jackhammers and other equipment, support stormwater and site work, and ensure safe, productive job sites.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Tennessee driver's license, and Stormwater Level 1 Certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Tennessee Driver's License.
• Stormwater Level 1 Certification required or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Background check successfully completed.

Responsibilities

• Operate jackhammers, mowers, brush chippers, pipe saws and other small equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Report equipment defects to supervisor and maintain equipment.
• Assist crews with digging ditches, laying pipes and hoisting materials.
• Install and maintain traffic control devices; follow safety standards.
• Keep work areas clean and support general labor as needed.
