Job summary

The City of Brownwood is seeking a dedicated maintenance worker to support public works projects, including street repairs, drainage, and infrastructure upkeep.

You will operate a range of construction equipment and trucks, perform routine inspections, and assist with emergency operations as needed. Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and preferably a Texas CDL Class B with an 'N' endorsement. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience driving trucks larger than ¾ ton preferred.
• Texas Commercial Driver License Class B with 'N' endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair public works infrastructure, including streets and right of ways.
• Operate a variety of construction equipment and trucks.
• Patching utility cuts and potholes; routine equipment maintenance.
• Work on-call 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.
• Follow City core values and safety guidelines.
