Qualifications

• Must read and write effectively in English.
• English language comprehension required; HS diploma or GED is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of light equipment operation and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor with mower attachments.
• Operate power mower, hedge trimmers, edger and weed eater as needed.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance: cut grass, trim hedges and trees, plant grass, water, fill holes, pick up litter.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in general city clean-up as directed by Parks Supervisor.
• Assist in repairs of fences, gates, walls, playground equipment and bleachers including painting/plumbing.
• Operate welder and cutting torch.
• Move tables, chairs and equipment to various locations as directed.
• Clean restrooms in parks and recreational buildings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Parks Supervisor.
