Job summary

The Town of Warrenton is seeking a Grade 5 Maintenance Worker to support Public Works and Utilities projects. This role includes manual labor, equipment operation as qualified, and basic maintenance tasks across town facilities and streets.

At minimum, candidates should be able to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions and follow safety procedures. Career progression to Motor Equipment Operator is possible; work is performed with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• No degree required.
• Experience or combination of education and experience equivalent to maintenance work.
• Ability to perform manual labor in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public works facilities and equipment.
• Assist with landscaping, debris removal, and street maintenance tasks.
• Operate light to medium equipment as qualified; support utility and public works projects.
