The role spans Technician I through Senior Technician, with progression based on experience and skill, CDL Class B required for all levels, and emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Technician I requires a high school diploma or equivalent and CDL Class B or permit (and CDL within 120 days).
  • Technician II requires high school diploma or equivalent, meets Skill Set Levels I and II, CDL Class B and Tanker Endorsement.
  • Technician III requires high school diploma or equivalent, meets Levels I-III and CDL Class B with Tanker Endorsement.
  • Sr Technician requires high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years experience, 1 year lead experience, CDL Class B with Hazardous Waste Endorsement or Advanced MOT Certification.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Applies knowledge of maintenance/construction principles to perform duties safely and efficiently.
  • Works with crew on infrastructure projects (roads, storm drains, bridges, etc.).
  • Follows all safety standards and procedures.
  • Performs other duties including emergency response as required.
