Job summary

The Mississippi Department of Employment Security is seeking a hands-on worker to perform manual, semi-skilled labor in maintaining the City's public works infrastructure. The role involves operating automotive equipment, light vehicles, trucks, and a variety of hand and power tools to support construction, maintenance and repair tasks.

Responsibilities include inspecting and servicing equipment, assisting with loading and unloading, keeping accurate records, and following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects, services and performs minor repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Assists in loading and unloading materials and equipment and cleaning up work areas.
  • Participates in all operations as necessary.
  • Completes all necessary and required forms, work sheets, etc. in a timely and correct manner.
