Job summary

The City of Howell is seeking a Laborer/Beginning Skilled/Semi-Skilled to support Public Services. You will perform semi-skilled maintenance, operate equipment, and help in the repair and upkeep of water, sewer, streets, and drainage systems.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience, with a valid driver’s license. The role offers full benefits and occasional overtime in a dynamic municipal setting.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required, plus related maintenance experience.
• Experience with water/sewer systems or street maintenance is preferred.
• Candidates must meet physical requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair meters, streets and sewer systems for proper function.

• Assist in construction, paving, and drainage projects as needed.
