Job summary

The City of Eustis is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker I/II to perform maintenance and construction work using journeyman-level knowledge of heavy equipment. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of water distribution, labor or maintenance experience.
• Two years of responsible experience operating heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead capacity tasks to train new employees and supervise maintenance and utility workers.
• Operate complex and heavy mechanical equipment and check for improper functioning of mechanical systems.
• Perform maintenance, make moderately complex repairs and assist in complex repairs of equipment and vehicles.
• Perform duties of Maintenance Worker II including maintenance, repairs and construction of Public Works, Storm Water, Wastewater, Water, Building, Parks and Recreation projects.
• Assist in preparation for and aftermath of major emergencies such as hurricanes or storms.
• Be on-call as needed during emergency situations.
