Job summary

City of Kent, WA is seeking a GIS Analyst 2 in Public Works to perform advanced GIS work, maintain datasets, and support multiple city work groups.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, planning, or engineering and at least two years of GIS experience; proficiency with ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise and scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, planning, engineering, or related field plus at least two years GIS experience.
• Experience performing advanced GIS work and supporting multiple city work groups.

Responsibilities

• Maintain geometry, attributes, and metadata of City GIS datasets.
• Automate GIS tasks using SQL, Arcade, and Python.
• Create and maintain technical and user documentation for GIS processes.
• Develop GIS web services and geoprocessing services per City standards.
• Support mobile GIS solutions for field staff.
• Assist in integrating GIS with third-party systems.
