Job summary

The City of Kent is seeking a GIS Analyst 2 in the Public Works Department. The ideal candidate will perform advanced GIS work, including database design, end-user support, and application development. A bachelor’s degree and at least two years GIS experience are required.

Responsibilities include maintaining GIS data, automating tasks with SQL/Arcade/Python, and supporting mobile and web GIS solutions for field staff and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, planning, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of two years GIS experience.
• Experience with GIS software and data management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain geometry, attribute, and metadata of City GIS datasets and data used by Asset Management.
• Automate GIS tasks using SQL, Arcade and Python.
• Create and maintain technical and user documentation for GIS processes.
