Job summary

City of Pleasant Grove is seeking Construction Inspector I/II to supervise field inspections of roadway and utility projects. You will review tests, coordinate with residents and utilities, and ensure contractor compliance with city standards.

Two years (Level I) or four years (Level II) of public works/construction experience is required, along with a valid Utah driver’s license. Some after-hours work may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years experience (Level I) or four years (Level II) in public works/construction or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and follows the City's values and expectations.
• Oversees observation of engineering and public works projects.
• Ensures contractors conform to project specs.
• Performs daily on-site inspection oversight and records coordination.
• Reviews test results and verifies conformance to specs.
• Coordinates construction activities with residents and utilities.
• Reviews permits and inspects road cuts within City boundaries.
• Inspects roadway and utility construction elements.
