Bituminous Roadways, Inc. is seeking a Public Estimator and Project Manager in Saint Paul, MN to prepare accurate cost estimates for public commercial paving projects and manage client/vendor communications.

Requires 3-5 years of estimating experience in highway heavy construction; BA/BS in related field preferred; proficient in estimating software and Excel; travel to project sites and strong coordination with teams.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Estimating experience in highway heavy construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience with unit-price and lump-sum estimates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Prospect for project opportunities and conduct risk assessment.
• Prepare accurate proposals and assess client needs.
• Solicit subcontractor and supplier quotes (RFQs).
• Set up projects including contracts, Build2Win, Spectrum, work orders, scheduling.
• Monitor projects to anticipate problems and communicate with stakeholders.
• Ensure timely billing and payment authorizations.
• Represent BR at industry events and mentor estimators.
• Assist with workload communication (LRS) and sales objectives.
• Develop and cultivate key customer accounts.
