Job summary

Bituminous Roadways, Inc. is seeking a Private Estimator and Project Manager in Saint Paul, MN to prepare accurate cost estimates for private commercial paving projects and manage bid proposals.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in highway heavy construction, proficiency with estimating software (B2W) and Excel, and the ability to communicate with clients, vendors, and project teams.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of estimating experience in highway heavy construction.
• Experience with unit-price and lump-sum estimates.
• Proficiency with estimating software (B2W) and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and contract documents.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Prepare accurate and timely proposals and assess client needs.
• Solicit reliable subcontractors and suppliers’ quotes.
• Manage project setup including contract/subcontract approvals and scheduling.
• Communicate regularly with supervisor and customer.
• Mentor and assist other estimators and support sales objectives.
• Develop and cultivate key customer accounts.
