Central Specialties, Inc. in Minnesota seeks a Senior Project Manager/Estimator to lead road construction projects from bid to completion, estimate costs, manage budgets, and coordinate field teams to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery.

Requirements include a civil engineering or related degree and 5+ years in heavy civil projects; proficiency with HCSS or Bid2Win; strong leadership, communication, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in heavy civil or road construction.
• Proven track record in project delivery and cost control.
• Proficient in estimating software (HCSS/Bid2Win) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and bids for road construction projects, including grading, paving, utilities, and other civil infrastructure.
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
• Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from pre-construction through closeout.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans in coordination with field staff and subcontractors.
• Manage subcontractor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee subcontractor performance.
• Monitor job costs, prepare change orders, and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, and inspectors.
• Mentor junior staff and support continuous improvement efforts.
