Bituminous Roadways, Inc. is seeking a Public Estimator and Project Manager to prepare accurate cost estimates for public paving projects from Saint Paul, MN. The role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and effective communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

The position offers a salary range of $90,000 to $150,000 per year with a bonus program and comprehensive benefits. Occasional travel to project sites and client meetings is expected, with standard

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of estimating experience in highway heavy construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience with unit-price and lump-sum estimates; knowledge of local markets and subs.
• Proficiency with estimating software (B2W or similar) and MS Excel.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Prospect for project opportunities and conduct risk assessment.
• Prepare accurate proposals and assess client needs.
• Solicit subcontractors and suppliers’ quotes.
• Set up projects including contracts, Build2Win, Spectrum, work orders, and scheduling.
• Communicate with supervisor and customers regularly.
• Assist with sales objectives development and key account management.
• Mentor other estimators and support workload planning.
