Bexar County PA Public Works Cagnon Service Center is seeking an Equipment Operator I to operate and maintain light to heavy road construction equipment under direct supervision.

Responsibilities include patching/ paving, brush cutting, safety tasks, and daily logs. May supervise Field Maintenance Workers; must obtain a Texas CDL within 12 months. Full-time, on-site in Texas with a wage of $18.34–$21.55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or GED; 1 year experience operating road construction equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical operations of road construction equipment and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Operate mowers, shredders, forklifts, sweepers, rollers, and small dump trucks used in road construction and maintenance.
• Assist in patching and paving of streets and roadways.
• Cut brush with chain saw, brush cutter and pole saw.
• Fill out daily logs of work activities and perform safety related tasks at sites.
• May supervise Field Maintenance Worker positions.
