Job summary

Spokane County is seeking an Engineer 1 level professional to perform office and field engineering in Public Works. You will assist with traffic studies, road and bridge design, stormwater, and construction management, with advancement to Engineer 2 upon licensure.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, presenting findings, and coordinating with developers and consultants. The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering (or Engineer-In-Training) and a valid WA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineer-In-Training certification required.
• Experience in professional engineering work preferred.
• Valid Washington Driver's License required for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses and prepare reports on traffic and roadway design.
• Assist in bridge design, stormwater, and transportation engineering tasks.
