Spokane County is seeking an Engineer I/2 level in the Public Works Department to perform professional engineering work in traffic studies, road and bridge design, and project management. Under supervision, you will analyze data, prepare reports, and support community presentations.

Eligibility includes licensure as a Professional Engineer in Washington or Engineer-In-Training and a valid WA driver's license. The role involves field and office work with occasional travel within the county.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or EIT certificate required.
• Experience in public works engineering preferred.
• Strong analytical and report writing skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform traffic capacity analyses and roadway design.
• Contribute to bridge design, inspection support, and maintenance planning.
• Manage water and environmental projects within County Road program.
• Prepare reports, testimony, and presentations for hearings and public meetings.
• Review site and subdivision development plans for compliance with standards.
