Job summary

CALTEC Corp. is the General Contractor on a public works upgrade project at a large public assembly facility — an audio/video and lighting modernization.

The electrical scope includes tenant improvement of an existing control room, power and pathway for new A/V equipment, and full lighting replacement across control zones. Wages follow California prevailing wage; the role involves installation of conduit, wiring, fixtures, and compliance with safety and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
• OSHA 10 certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• California driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Own hand tools required.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit, wire, and fixtures per plans (EMT, rigid, and PVC).
• Rough-in and terminate branch circuitry and boxes.
• Install feeders, panels, transformers, disconnects, and ATS.
• Set lighting fixtures at height using lifts; perform zone wiring.
• Pull underground conductors; trench, bed, and backfill operations.
• Install raceway and pathway for A/V, telecom, and security systems.
• Support testing, labeling, panel schedules, and punchlist closeout.
• Follow safety protocols: tailgate meetings, fall protection, LOTO.
