Job summary

CALTECCorp. is seeking an Inside Wireman for a public works upgrade project in California. You will install conduit, wire, and fixtures, rough-in branch circuitry, and set lighting with lifts, following approved plans. This role requires prevailing wage compliance and weekly payroll.

Responsibilities include testing, labeling, panel schedules, and ensuring safety procedures such as LOTO and fall protection. Valid CA electrician certification and 3+ years experience are required.

Qualifications

• California Electrician Certification (State of California ET/General Electrician) current.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
• Ability to read and build from electrical plans and specifications.
• OSHA10 certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Comfortable working at height from scissor and boom lifts.
• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and any owner-required background check.
• Own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit, wire, and fixtures per approved plans and specifications—EMT, rigid, and PVC, from 1/2" branch through 4" underground duct bank.
• Rough-in and terminate branch circuitry, receptacles, and device boxes.
• Install and terminate feeders, panels, transformers, disconnects, and automatic transfer switches.
• Set and terminate lighting fixtures at height from scissor/boom lifts, including control wiring and zone tie-ins.
• Pull underground conductors and trench, bedding, and backfill operations.
• Install raceway and pathway for A/V, telecom, and security systems.
• Support testing, labeling, panel schedules, and punchlist closeout.
• Work safely: daily tailgate meetings, fall protection at height, LOTO and energized-work procedures.
• Turn in inaccurate daily timecode to the right cost code.
• Take and record your meal and rest periods.

COMPENSATION

WagesarepaidattheapplicableCaliforniaprevailingwageratefortheInsideWiremanclassification,pertheDIRGeneralPrevailingWageDeterminationineffectforLosAngelesCountyforthisproject.
