The Drainage & Water Resources Engineer position focuses on designing drainage systems for municipal and roadway projects, with responsibilities spanning from calculations to project deliverables. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain Texas PE reciprocity within six months of hire.
• Minimum of 5 years of drainage engineering experience on municipal, county, or public works projects.
• Experience designing storm sewer systems, detention facilities, open channels, culverts, and drainage improvements.
• Proficiency with ORD-DU and familiarity with ORD/OpenRoads/Civil 3D/MicroStation/AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of municipal drainage criteria, floodplain regulations, and stormwater management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports and client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review drainage designs, calculations, reports, and memoranda for public infrastructure projects.
• Develop stormwater management solutions compliant with municipal and regulatory requirements.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, drainage modeling, and cost estimates.
