Job summary

The Town of Carrboro seeks a seasoned Public Works Director to lead a diverse department and oversee municipal infrastructure. You will advise boards, formulate policies, and represent the Town with regional agencies, reporting to the Assistant Town Manager, with supervision of department personnel.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years of supervisory public works experience; a master's degree is preferred. Some after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, public works administration, or related field.
• 5 years of supervisory experience in public works.
• Progressively responsible experience in public works operations and municipal infrastructure.
