Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or related field.
  • 5+ years of public works experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role as Public Works Director or Supervisor.
  • 3–5 years in municipal Public Works Director or similar management position; civil engineering background preferred.
  • Oregon driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
  • Collections Operator III certification attractive.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee city infrastructure including streets, street lighting, storm drainage, parks, cemetery, and wastewater treatment plant.
  • Develop and manage budgets; ensure compliance with state and federal standards.
  • Supervise approximately 25 FTE and manage ~70 miles of roadway and 220 acres of parks/open space.
  • Represent the department at public meetings and intergovernmental collaborations.
