Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or related field required.
• Minimum five years of public works experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role.
• Background in civil engineering preferred.
• Ability to obtain Collections Operator III certification is attractive.
• Valid Oregon driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the City’s infrastructure including streets, lighting, drainage, parks, and facilities.
• Develop and manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead capital improvement planning.
• Supervise approximately 25 FTE and manage 70 miles of roadway and 220 acres of park/open space.
• Represent the department at public meetings and foster intergovernmental collaborations.
• Build momentum by translating long-range planning into visible results and a cohesive department culture.
