Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
• Eight years of engineering design experience in public works
• Full-time benefited position, not unionized

Responsibilities

• Supervise design and preparation of plans for streets, utilities, and municipal projects
• Review submittals, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with Construction Section
• Lead staff development and resolve project challenges
• Communicate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and city departments
• Assist in grant applications and public hearings as needed
• Oversee budget, schedules, and quality standards
