Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, surveying, or closely related field and five (5) years of professional experience in design/construction of roads, bridges and related Public Works facilities, floodplain management and municipal stormwater program general permit compliance with two (2) years in a management capacity.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and additional years of management experience in civil engineering in a public agency.
• Licenses: CA Class C driver’s license within ten days; CA Civil Engineer registration; ongoing PD/CE requirements.
• Special requirements: background check with Live Scan, DMV printout, statements of economic interest; disaster service duties.
