Swinomish Indian Tribal Community is seeking a Public Works Custodian 1 to maintain clean offices, corridors, and meeting spaces. Night shifts may be required in some buildings, with schedules varying by assignment.

The role requires basic English communication, ability to perform heavy manual labor, and a minimum of 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous cleaning experience is valued, and safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older.
• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years’ experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed cleaning with various cleaning chemicals as assigned.
• Performs and documents scheduled cleaning assignments.
• Checks inventory of supplies and parts according to established procedures.
• Establishes and maintains courteous, cooperative relations when dealing with staff, supervisors or the public.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures.
• Reports incidents and accidents according to policy.
• Able to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.
• Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations in dealing with staff, customers and supervisors.
