Job summary

The Nisqually Red Wind Casino is seeking a Custodian Worker II to maintain a clean, safe, and inviting gaming environment. You will perform general cleaning across casino areas, operate cleaning equipment, and support guest service standards with a positive attitude.

Requirements include a High school diploma or GED, at least one year of cleaning experience, ability to work all shifts including weekends, and the ability to obtain certifications such as Aerial Work Platform Operation and a Food

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of professional cleaning experience in a casino, hotel, warehouse, or similar environment.
• Ability to train on and operate equipment such as the cardboard baler, riding shampooer, and street sweeper.
• Ability to obtain certification in Aerial Work Platform Operation and Safety.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Permit.
• Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
• Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• OSHA 10.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Hospitality Industry Guest Service Standards.
• General cleaning of bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, garbage, cleaning areas, mopping, shampooing, polishing, cleaning ashtrays, and glass.
• Deep cleaning including floor treatments, high dusting, window cleaning, pressure washing.
• Accessing sensitive or Class III areas to complete cleaning duties.
• Operate equipment such as cardboard baler, riding shampooer, and street sweeper safely.
• Report to Custodial Shift Lead regarding issues on assigned shift.
• Provide training to new Custodial Workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required skills and knowledge:

• High school diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely perform job duties at heights of up to 30 feet.
• Ability to stand and/or move around continuously during the assigned shift.
• Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Deep cleaning of areas needing additional attention including floor treatments, high dusting, window cleaning, and pressure washing.
• Accessing sensitive or Class III areas to complete cleaning duties.
• Operate equipment such as the cardboard baler, riding shampooer, and street sweeper safely and effectively.
• Report to Custodial Shift Lead regarding any issues or problems that arise on assigned shift.
• Provide training to new Custodial Workers, fostering a positive culture and work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
