Job summary

Fulton County's Department of Public Works is seeking a Crew Supervisor to oversee street, drainage, and utility projects in Atlanta. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise crews, manage safety, quality, and schedules, and ensure compliance with codes and policies.

The role requires leadership and strong communication with residents and departments, plus ability to prepare reports and optimize resources on multiple projects. Experience in heavy civil or infrastructure maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; plus 5 years related public works experience.
• Alternative combination of education, training, and experience acceptable.
• Must possess Georgia Class B CDL; some assignments may require Class A CDL with endorsements.
• Flagging Certification must be obtained within department timeframes.
• Water Distribution or Collection System Operator License may be required depending on assignment.
• Veterans’ Preference applies to interviews.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff and conducts performance appraisals.
• Coordinates work activities; prioritizes daily tasks and ensures safety and quality standards.
• Ensures compliance with codes, laws, and department policies; maintains safety procedures.
• Prepares operational and statistical reports for streets, water, and sewer projects.
• Responds to questions and concerns from residents and the public.
