Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Construction Inspector to support public works infrastructure projects across Southern California, including Oceanside and North County San Diego. The role focuses on quality, safety, and compliance, with travel within the region and a competitive hourly rate of $55–$65 plus benefits.

The Inspector will view plans, oversee contractor work, and communicate across teams to ensure on-time, budget-conscious project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with civil construction projects and public works.
• Group II Construction Inspection Certificates or related certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes (ICBO, ACI, NEC) and public works practices.

Responsibilities

• Tackle challenges with supervisors, contractors, and design professionals to ensure project execution.
• Monitor contractor work and inspect structures for compliance with plans and specs.
• Track costs and schedules, identify risks, and help keep deadlines and budgets on track.
