NV5 is seeking Water/Wastewater and Public Works Construction Inspectors for Southern California. You will work on infrastructure projects across Inland Empire, OC, High Desert, LA, San Bernardino, and Riverside, with full-time, part-time, or on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction principles for municipal/public works or transportation projects.
• 3–5 years of relevant inspection experience.
• Valid California Driver’s License required.
• Group II construction inspection certificates preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes (ICBO/NEC/local ordinances) and site safety.

Responsibilities

• Be the problem-solver by collaborating with supervisors, contractors and design professionals.
• Oversee quality and compliance by inspecting structures and systems against plans and specs.
• Track costs and schedules, identify risks, and keep deadlines while avoiding overruns.
• Interpret plans and contract terms to align stakeholders and keep projects moving.
• Proactively manage delays, weather disruptions and site emergencies.
• Represent NV5 and maintain strong client relationships for optimal solutions.
