Job summary

Omlohio seeks a Construction Inspection Manager to supervise the Construction Services section within the City’s Engineering Division. You will manage inspection activities for development projects, capital improvements, and ROW permits to ensure compliance with plans, standards, and policies.

You will lead staff and consultants, assign tasks, review procedures, and conduct pre- and post-construction activities while maintaining schedules and responding to public inquiries as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED).
• Associate's degree in construction management, civil engineering technologies, or related field preferred.
• APWA, ODOT, AASHTO training programs or equivalents are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction inspection activities for development and city capital projects.
• Supervise Construction Services staff and coordinate daily tasks and performance.
• Select consultants, assign inspectors, and schedule field activities.
• Maintain progress reports and schedules for construction projects.
• Review specs and procedures and provide corrections or revisions.
• Lead pre- and post-construction planning, meetings, and inspections.
• Respond to public inquiries and coordinate with stakeholders.
