Job summary

Cannon Corp. in West Los Angeles seeks a California-licensed Civil Project Manager to lead Public Works projects, prepare reports, and oversee design and cost estimates.

You’ll mentor junior staff on AutoCAD and Civil 3D while ensuring quality, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects, pursuing new business, and coordinating with clients and agencies to meet standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• California P.E. license.
• 9+ years of experience in civil engineering specifically pertaining to Public Works projects.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience pertaining to Public Works projects.

Responsibilities

• Concurrently manages a variety of civil engineering Public Works projects.
• Works independently on engineering design for projects requiring creative solutions.
• Tracks project scope, budgets, and schedules to ensure fulfillment of contract commitments and profitability.
• Effectively manages quality assurance and quality control.
• Uses technical knowledge to prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for street widening, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, ADA compliance, storm drain (hydrology and hydraulics), and water quality BMPs.
• Directs and mentors project engineers and design engineers on technical matters and procedures and acts as a technical resource to staff.
• Establishes and fosters client relations and develops letter proposals (scope, schedule and fee estimates).
• Communicates effectively with various departments, clients, and agencies.
