• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Four years of full-time civil engineering experience; one year in a supervisory/lead role.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and prepare engineering studies and reports; coordinate with departments, agencies, citizens, consultants and developers.
• Design complex public works projects; manage consultant contracts and guide reviews of consultants’ work.
• Project manage multiple projects from conception to construction, including schedules, permits, and budgets.
• Review field and laboratory tests; write related memoranda and reports.
• Develop design plans, specs, and cost estimates for transportation projects; prepare grants and signal timing plans.
• Coordinate engineering projects between contractors and the County; prepare and check legal descriptions as needed.
