County of Marin is seeking a Department Analyst I/II to provide professional analytical, fiscal, grant administration, and compliance support within the Department of Public Works. The role focuses on developing and monitoring budgets, managing grants, and ensuring regulatory compliance across infrastructure projects.

The position collaborates with engineers and project managers, serves as SPOC for Caltrans Local Assistance, MTC, and TAM, and supports a wide range of budget and reporting

Qualifications

• Knowledge of government budgeting, fiscal analysis, grant administration, and financial management principles.
• Ability to develop and monitor operating, capital, and project budgets.
• Experience with CIP planning and funding for infrastructure.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsabilités

• Develop and monitor the division's operating and capital budgets.
• Administer federal, state, and local grants through funding lifecycle.
• Prepare budget adjustments and fiscal analyses for Board of Supervisors staff reports.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers on funding needs and reporting.
