Job summary

PowerLines seeks a qualified professional to serve as the PUC representative for an assigned county-wide neighbor island district. You will conduct field visits with utility and transportation companies, respond to customer complaints, perform fact finding, and prepare reports for disposition recommendations.

The role involves monitoring compliance with PUC laws, reporting findings, and acting as a liaison with state and local agencies and the public to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Legal Authorization to Work as required by Hawaii state government.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Two and one-half (2-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience with strong analytical skills and report writing.
• Experience involving public contact and ability to maintain good working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Public Utilities Commission for an assigned county-wide neighbor island district.
• Conduct field visits with utility/transportation companies and respond to customer complaints.
• Perform fact finding, prepare and submit reports, and liaise with State, municipal, and other agencies and the public.
• Monitor, investigate, and report on compliance with PUC laws, rules and regulations; draft comprehensive reports.
